Welcome to the Village of Clarksville
Clarksville is a small community with big heart. Clarksville is located in southwestern Ionia county, conveniently situated between Grand Rapids and Lansing. Put all of these together and you can see why Clarksville is the perfect place to visit, work, and raise a family.
We are committed to providing the highest quality of life for all of our current residents as well as encouraging and promoting the growth of our village. We welcome and value your input. Together we can make a difference!

Reception to Honor Patricia Reser
Clarksville Village Hall
Saturday March 22 from 1-4pm
Please join the Village Council and the Reser family to honor Patricia Reser!
Pat served as Village Trustee for almost 31 years 1994 – 2025 and as Village Street Commissioner almost 25 years 1996 – 2021. Pat recently stepped down as Village Trustee stating the time has come for someone else with fresh new ideas & energy to step in and lead the village into the future. She has been very grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such dedicated council members and to have contributed to the positive changes we’ve seen. She has felt very honored & privileged to serve her community on the Village Council as well as volunteered on multiple Clarksville organizations over the years.
Snow/Ice Removal Requirements
Reminder to residents that it is the responsibility of the property owner to shovel sidewalks and off-street parking is required per ordinance. Sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice (within 24 hours in residential districts & within 4 hours in the business district after the cessation of any fall of snow, sleet, or freezing rain) and vehicles may not be parked longer than 12 hours on Main Street or 24 hours on other public streets within the village. For persons within the residential district that this would cause undue hardship, they may file a request for exemption with the Village Clerk.
